Company Information

On February 28, 2012, Sumitomo Shoji Machinex Co., Ltd. (SMX) marked the 50th anniversary of its establishment. We are deeply grateful for the support of our business partners over the years, without which we would not have been able to achieve this milestone.

Over the half-century since our foundation in 1962, we have proposed optimum business solutions in the fields of machinery, electronics, information/communications, and building equipment. In recent years we have branched out into new fields with great potential for future growth, such as environmental business, energy conservation, renewable energy and unified communications, and have added to our core domestic business by expanding into Asia and other overseas markets.

Building on the experience and expertise we have amassed thus far and the extensive network of the Sumitomo Shoji Group, we will take on the challenge of constructing a new business model amid accelerating globalization, and make the utmost effort to ensure SMX services are recognized for their quality both in Japan and abroad.
