Feb, 1962 Yusei Kikou Co., Ltd., the predecessor of Sumitomo Shoji Machinex, is founded (head office in Osaka) with a capitalization of ¥1.5 million.
Mar, 1968 Company name is changed to Sumisho Kiki Hanbai Co., Ltd.
Apr, 1968 Capitalization is increased to ¥30 million.
Dec, 1968 Capitalization is increased to ¥50 million.
Aug, 1973 Company name is changed to Sumisho Kiden Hanbai Co., Ltd.
Apr, 1977 Sumisho Kenki Hanbai Services Co., Ltd. is acquired and capitalization is increased to ¥60 million.
Oct, 1980 Capitalization is increased to ¥100 million.
Oct, 1981 Capitalization is increased to ¥300 million.
Oct, 1983 Capitalization is increased to ¥450 million.
Oct, 1993 The business of the Kyushu branch is transferred to a new company Sumisho Machinex Kyushu Co., Ltd., established in September of the same year.
Apr, 1994 Nagoya branch business is transferred to a new company Sumisho Machinex Chubu Co., Ltd., established in February of the same year.
Apr, 1995 The business of the Hokkaido branch is transferred to a new company Sumisho Machinex Hokkaido Co., Ltd., established in January of the same year.
Apr, 1997 The businesses of the Osaka, Tohoku, and Kobe branches are transferred to new companies Sumisho Machinex Kansai Co., Ltd., Sumisho Machinex Tohoku Co., Ltd., and Sumisho Machinex Kobe Co., Ltd. (respectively) established in February of the same year, and the company name is changed to Sumisho Machinex Co., Ltd.
Apr, 2004 The name of Sumisho Machinex Chubu Co., Ltd. is changed to Sumitomo Shoji Machinex Chubu Co., Ltd.; and Sumisho Machinex Kansai Co., Ltd. merges with Sumisho Machinex Kobe Co., Ltd. and is renamed Sumitomo Shoji Machinex Kansai Co., Ltd.
May, 2004 The company’s head office is relocated to Harumi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo and the company name is changed to Sumitomo Shoji Machinex Co., Ltd.
Apr, 2009 Sumitomo Shoji Machinex Kansai Co., Ltd. and Sumitomo Shoji Machinex Chubu Co., Ltd. are acquired, and capitalization is increased to ¥1.165 billion.
Oct, 2018 Head office is relocated to Hitotsubashi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
Jul, 2019 Capitalization is increased to ¥5.3 billion.
