At Sumitomo Shoji Machinex, we are determined to be a company that grows sustainably by making genuine, high-level and beneficial contributions to the development of society, industry, clients, business partners, and various other stakeholders. At the same time, we want to ensure that the growth of the company supports the growth of our employees, which in turn will help us to make further valuable contributions.

In 2021, with an eye on global trends and social changes, we instituted our “SMX2030 Vision.”* Since then, we have steadfastly adhered to this vision in all our business pursuits. Our medium-term management plan that took effect in April 2024 is focused on shaping a better future in accordance with the catchphrase “Shaping the Future, Beyond Challenges ” based on a spirit of “readiness to tackle new challenges” that permeated the company during the period of the previous medium-term management plan.

We pursue our business activities on two strong foundations—the trusting relationships we have built with our stakeholders over more than 60 years and the management philosophy of the Sumitomo Corporation Group.
